This advancement utilizes a metal lining under the textile that blocks cold temperatures from penetrating the outer layer while reflecting heat generated inside the wetsuit back towards the body, keeping you in a constant state of warmth.
Introducing The New Infiniti
Moving to sustainable materials has been an important step for Xcel, but we felt the materials needed to be as good as, if not better than, the foams we currently use. After testing some of the original neoprene-free materials, we found a drawback in each case: less flex, bonding issues with our technical linings, and, most importantly, reduced product longevity.
After some extensive testing, we are now 100% confident in the performance and longevity of the material and are proud to introduce Ocena+ across our best selling Infiniti range.

A New Level of Stretch and Warmth
When choosing a wetsuit, there is always a balance between warmth and stretch: super-stretchy wetsuits aren’t as warm as more restrictive suits designed for maximum warmth.
The Infiniti has always sat in the middle of the scale, offering a good balance of warmth and stretch. It stays warm thanks to the high-pile, aluminium-backed Radiant lining, while the stretch has improved with the introduction of Material X in the shoulders. You may be familiar with Material X, found on the Comp+ (The World’s Most Comfortable Wetsuit). This increased stretch reduces fatigue whilst paddling. The rest of the exterior is Channel Flex, a lightweight, hydrophobic gridded material that breaks up tension by reducing fibre and water weight, allowing a surfer to have complete free range of motion.
